How we clean your bin
We cleanse your bin(s) to the highest standards possible using our proven techniques of using the latest water saving equipment, pride in our work and good old fashioned cleanliness standards. Generally speaking, we call around to your premises once the refuse collection service has emptied your bin. Please always leave your bin(s) at the kerb on your service day so we can perform our cleaning. Look out for our van on your bin collection day!
We employ the following process during our cleaning;
Use of a high pressure water jet on the inside and outside of the bin to remove all waste material (food scraps, mud, general dirt and mould).
Good washing ensures we also remove other less desirable items, like spiders webs and creepy crawly things. Particularly around the edges, lid and handles of the bins.
The bin is then vacuumed on the inside to remove excess water and debris.
We then hand dry the bin, both inside and outside to give a great looking bin.
Finally we spray your bin with a final cleaning and sanitising lotion, (not just a perfume) to ensure your bins are as hygienic as possible.
This spray is perfumed with citrus to ensure we leave a clean and sweet smelling wheelie bin that you are proud to call your own!
We are always aware of keeping our environment safe, so we only use degreasing agents if absolutely necessary.
All our fresh cleaning water is collected in large tanks from local rainwater.
The water used and collected during the cleaning process is filtered and then recycled as "grey water". We do not clean bins using the dirty water as there are still health concerns over the misting of recycled water.
Typically we use less than a litre of rain water per clean!
